We thought long and hard about how to do this and decided that the dental charity Bridge2Aid was a great choice. For this reason, we make a regular and ongoing donation to them.
Helping those nearer to home is important to us, so we donate to charities such as Alzheimer's and Mouth Cancer Foundation.
Our team members also regularly volunteer, helping the homeless and elderly in our local community.
Bridge2Aid fights the causes of poverty in some of the poorest communities in the developing world.
We do this by strengthening local healthcare systems – specifically by training local healthcare workers in the provision of emergency dental treatment. Oral disease, infection and chronic pain desperately need to be addressed in these communities to enable people to work, attend school and care for their families. Our sustainable training model provides local health workers with the essential skills they need to improve the lives of people in these local communities for the long term. Initially we have developed our programme in rural Tanzania, and our long term plan is to roll this training out to any country where there is a need.

Trees for Cities is an independent charity set up in 1993. We are the only UK charity dedicated to urban trees, working at a national and international scale to improve lives by creating greener cities. We get stuck in with our dedicated volunteers to cultivate lasting change in neighbourhoods - whether it's revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments or growing food with kids.
Our work focuses on areas of social and environmental deprivation, bringing together local communities to work on practical greening and educational projects in urban spaces. Through our work we place a special emphasis on the involvement of local people and especially disadvantaged people who often suffer barriers to participation and are disengaged from their local environment.
We currently deliver projects in cities throughout the UK in cities including London, Reading, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Cardiff, Brighton, Nottingham, Peterborough, Bradford and others. We also deliver projects overseas in cities including Nairobi, Addis Ababa, La Paz and Ica.
